    Topic: (Copy directly from handout)
    Purpose: (Copy directly from handout)
    Theory: (Copy directly from handout)
    Apparatus: (Copy directly from handout)

    Procedure:
    (I) To determine the density of PVC

    (a) The external and internal diameters of a PVC tube at different parts of the tube is measured.
    (b) The length at different part of the tube is measured. The average length is determined.
    (c) The tube is weighed using a triple beam balance.
    (d) The density of PVC is calculated.

(II) To determine the density of steel

    (a) The length of a steel wire is measured.
    (b) The diameter at different parts of the wire is measured. The average diameter is determined.
    (c) The wire is weighed using a triple beam balance.
    (d) The density of steel is calculated.

(III) To determine the density of cooking oil

    (a) An empty measuring cylinder is weighed.
    (b) 200cm³ of cooking oil is measured using the measuring cylinder.
    (c) The filled measuring cylinder is weighed.
    (d) The density of the cooking oil is calculated.

    Formulae that facilitate calculations

    Result

(Make a table recording 5/6 readings, each material one table. PVC record the diameters, internal and external. Average must have 1 extra decimal point. Maximum 4 decimal places. Take length reading in centimetre and take mass reading in gram. The density should be in at least 2 max 4 decimal places. Calculation to be done below the table. No graph is needed.)

Sorry, I wanted to attach the results but unfortunately I lost the result. But well good for you to find out. You will be split to groups of two, or individual if you have time. Copy results from other team.

    Precaution
(2 sources of error (or more). e.g. Zero error, parallax error. 3 actions to be taken. e.g. Eliminate zero error by adjustment or calculation.) (Make it in point form, preferably numbered.)

    Conclusion
The density of PVC, steel and cooking oil can be determined by using the formula Density = Mass over Volume.
